About
Every litigator has had the same evening. The deposition is over, the rough transcript arrives, and somewhere on page 214 the witness said something that the records in your own file flatly contradict. You had the document. You had read it. But it was one page out of nine hundred, and in the room, with the next question waiting, you did not place it.
Depo-Insight exists for that gap. It does the one thing a human cannot do while also conducting an examination: hold the entire file in mind at once and check every answer against it in real time. When an answer conflicts with the record, you see the document, the page and the exact line — while the witness is still under oath and you can still ask about it.
Just as deliberately, there are things it does not do. It does not decide anything. It does not speak for you, file anything, or reach any legal conclusion. Every flag is a pointer to a place in the record for you to verify and use, or discard. And it does not learn: no model is trained or tuned on your records or your testimony, and nothing from one case carries into another.
Creator
Depo-Insight was created by Eduard Epshteyn, who built it out of practice rather than theory — the feature list is a list of things that were needed in an actual deposition and were not there. The impeachment packet, the outstanding-issues list, the objective-driven outline and the record-cited flags all started as notes taken after a long day of testimony.
Standing
Depo-Insight is an attorney work-product tool. Its output is drafting assistance, not legal advice, and it does not replace your own judgment, your obligations around client confidentiality and consent to recording, or your duty to supervise the work product. Verify every flagged conflict against the underlying record before using it on the record.
